The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has developed a virtual training syllabus for aspiring medical students across the country.

The medical institution is collaborating with 431 medical colleges nationwide to provide this facility. Every year, about 3.5 lakh students appear for AIIMS exam, however only 72 students get through while others move to various medical colleges in the country.

Students will be given a user ID and password to use the website for virtual medical training.

Joining hands with AIIMS, professors from Ram Manohar Lohia, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Manipal Medical College and other renowned medical institutions have participated to develop virtual medicine syllabus.

At present, virtual medical courses are being conducted in Shillong at North Eastern Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Science and in Manipur at Regional Institute of Medical Science. The module of syllabus is similar to AIIMS.
